Roots and Wings: A Group for Mother-Daughter Connection

Looking for a meaningful way to connect with your daughter this Mother's Day weekend?
Mothers and their daughters (ages 12-18) are invited to join Roots and Wings, a nature-based group designed to foster a connection between mindfulness and shared experiences.
Led by Rebecca Cohen, a local marriage and family therapy intern, this group is grounded in research showing that time in nature improves mental well-being and that strong maternal bonds are essential for young women’s emotional development. Yet, as daughters grow into young adulthood, it can be challenging to maintain that connection.
Roots and Wings brings mothers and daughters together for mindfulness walks on scenic trails, followed by guided reflections to deepen understanding and communication. Each session provides a relaxed, welcoming space for pairs to connect with each other and with others in a similar life stage.
- Sessions begin on 5/10 and continue weekly. No long-term commitment is required, join as many sessions as you’d like!
- Spots are limited to keep the group intimate. Sign up today by visiting this page.
